Three music videos questionaire FINISHED

1.Royal Blood, out of the black-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSdtvfBQd6c
I. The artists of this song and the producer's are Royal Blood, The director's are  David Wilson & Christy Karacas
II. the record label is Warner music. Warner Music group which is well known in the United states so it helps the brand expand their music and merchandise to the US
III. The target audience is teenagers because it is loud and includes slang and "curse words" but ofcourse most ages can still watch and enjoy the video.
IV.The story is someone singing to someone who stabbed them in the back shown with these lyrics "You made a fool out of me and took the skin off my back running" it does not say specificly that it is about a relationship being ended because of cheating but this is implied by the lyrics "But those vows we made, fucked it up for free." this shows it could be about a relationship bound to end
V. the music video rapidly changes from being a cartoon to being filmed in real life, but the scenes which are in real life have not much editing and effects but when it is in the cartoon scenes the shots are very quick and hectic.
VI. the video is set in a gas station which by the end of the video is destroyed the props include. The costumes are very extravagant as the "Aliens" are dressed up as plushie which include; A bunny rabbit, An ice cream cone, etc. Props include many guns and lethal weapons such as; Nunchucks
VII. The music video is successful because it is unique and interesting and it is the only music video in its genre with this style
2.Panic! at the disco, Emperor's new clothes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qFF2v8VsaA
i.The artist is Panic! at the disco or Brendon Urie, it is produced by Jake Sinclair who is a well established producer in the music industry, the production company is Fueled by Ramen who also is very established as they are the production company for bands such as Twenty one piolets, Paramore and Weezer
ii.The record label for Panic! at the disco is Fueled by Ramen as I have already mentioned they are affiliated with many famous band's around the world
iii.The target audience is very flexible because it seems like thhe artists aren't looking for a specific audience but to spread the audience as far as possible it is flexible because it dosen't have and swearwords or and old-fashioned words but the music video is a bit radical so maybe it could be slightly targeted at a lower age audience
iv. The whole music video is narrative and performance, it is narrative because it has a story and a meaning, the story of the song is about someone who has wanted something for a long time and now they are finally taking it this is shown in the lyric "I see what's mine and take it" the lyrics somewhat fit the music video as the artist (Brendon Urie) appears to undergo a transformation into a "demon", the music video is a follow up to the recently released "This is gospel" by Panic! at the disco which is about someone dying and their journey into the afterlife, the performance in the video is throughout as Brendon sings the song while undergoing the transformation.
V. The cinematography is very important in this video because it is not shot like a normal video the way it is shot is in a slower fps (Frame Per Second) this creates an effect of static and jumpy movements in the music video as far as i can tell no other music video ever has used this besides Panic! at the disco's predessuer to this song "This is gospel", most of the video is shot with the singer singing directly into the camera this video also consists of lots of close ups. this video uses very little special effects in fact there is only one half second moment when bones crack which is obviously used with CGI.
VI.The only costumes are worn by the singer as he is the only one in it the video starts off with the singer in a suit and eventually turns into a demon over the course of the video, the lighting used is strobe lighting to emphasise on the intensity of the music video, the only make-up used is on the singer which is the demon make-up so there is no CGI, the only props are these broken and severed skelentons which speak in between the chorus's they are voiced by the singer and there mouths are moved by the singer to on a peice of string. The acting is quite impressive as the singer hasen't done a video like this before it almost makes it feel real.
VII. This music video is very succesful because it is unique, interesting and also because the band is famous, some people would go as far to say that the solo singer still uses the name Panic! at the disco to get more hits as it is known, but people also appretiate that as a solo singer Brendon plays all the instruments in the song and perfroms them well

3.Twenty one pilots, Ride, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pw-0pbY9JeU
i.The artists are Twenty one pilots, the producer is Ricky Reed who is well known for producing video's for Jessie J, Jason derulo and pit bull, the production company is Fueled by Ramen who I have already explained in alalysis #2
ii.The record label for Twenty one pilots is Fueled by Ramen as I have already mentioned they are affiliated with many famous band's around the world
iii.The target audience is adolecents and young adult's this is shown in the cool, chilled vibe of the song and video there is nothing intense or hard to understand about the video it is very starightfoward it could also liked by young adults as music for studying or to calm down from mood swings
iv.This music video has very little narrative as the duo is in a forest playing their instruments so all of the music video is performance
V. there is also little unique camera work just having the camera on at leats 1 of the band members at all times neither are there special effects there is some fast paced editing but still not very frequent
VI. Costumes are just casual clothes nothing too special, there is alot of lighting as the video switches from day t night frequently the lighting is also very bright and has a  high contrast, the only  props would be the instruments there is no make-up exlusive to the music video there is no need for acting because it is all performance
VII. it is succesful because it is a good song by a well known band but this music video is not considerd succesful by the standards of the band but it is underrated which gives it a unique ans special feel to it
